WIP Wednesday the Third...

I did it. I go so fed up with my coworker's HP scarf and how slow it was to Tunisian crochet it that I just went ahead and ripped the thing apart. If you are reading this coworker, don't worry - I have already started on your new scarf and it'll go MUCH faster than the last one since it's just row after row of knit stitch.

On other fronts I have started the grey stripe of color for HIB's scarf. It's looking quite schnazzy if I may say so myself!

(It's hard to see the grey in this picture but it's there!)

In addition to all the knitting, I went to paper source this weekend and bought the envelopes, response cards, and response card envelopes for the wedding invitations. We're still waiting for those to be printed, but in the mean time I've been cutting out the liners for the envelopes and sheesh! I can understand why wedding invitation envelopes are so expensive now! I would post pictures to show my progress on those, but the boys were being pains in the butts so I was too busy fighting them off to pull out my camera, and, honestly, there's not much progress to see - just a stack of red paper that's cut out to look like envelopes :P

  1. Oh man, sorry you had to frog the tunisian crochet scarf. I feel your pain. :( I think it will look great in knit stitch though, and yes, will go much faster.

YAY for the wedding items. Try not to get too stressed with all the wedding stuff.

  2. Good for you for turning your project into something you actually want to work on. The temporary pain will definitely be worth it. Also, LOVE Paper Source. You will post pics of your invites, right? I'm such a sucker for that sort of thing!

  4. @Kathleen Thankfully these aren't full envelopes - they look like a house (just two walls, a floor and a pointed roof)so I only have to make one fold. Right now my problem is keeping the cats from trying to make additional folds/cuts/tears to the paper. Thankfully HTB took pity on me and bought a laser pointer to distract them with!

  5. @Tami - Well, I messed up the knitting in the round (a combination of my inexperience and shoddy needles) so I had to scrap it again and now I'm doing a 1x1 like what I'm doing for HTB's scarf - so it's going a LOT faster now :)

  7. @mutantsupermodel Frogging isn't really scary - just depressing, because it's like admitting defeat or that you made a mistake. Even if you are planning to make it better :(
